These ads for Jordan 365 (Nike) by Character are simple, sophisticated and dynamic. I love the black and white, and how the star athletes are housed in the logo but breaking out of it at the same time. It’s like stepping out of the shadow of MJ but still paying respect to the legend. Check them out!

Orpheus Gala Invitation

Barbour Design recently completed an elegant invitation for Orpheus Chamber Orchestra’s 2012 Gala. The event theme, “Bach to Brazil,” was reflected in the invitation’s tropic-inspired design and prismatic Orpheus color palette. Materials designed included a save-the-date postcard, invitation, reply card, note cards and envelopes. Printing all the materials on Neenah Flash White added an extra touch of sparkle to the vibrant design.

Check out the VIP Master’s promotional package we created for ESPN in efforts to reinforce media partnerships and increase awareness of WatchESPN. Visual elements and messaging embraced the history of The Masters.

A vintage aesthetic and custom promotional logo were integrated into collateral including box & envelope labels, a brochure and other packaging elements. The centerpiece was an elegantly packaged azalea plant—the official flower of The Master’s Tournament. Personalized wooden WatchESPN golfbag tags were also included with this impressive gift.

The promotion received rave reviews from both its recipients and ESPN:

“The ‘unexpected’ factor of getting flowers from ESPN turned out to be huge…the classiness and style you provided with the plant selection, packaging and graphic look really elevated the idea to true VIP status.  The internal and external feedback has been among the best ever.”

As many have seen (mostly Justin D. + Ma-Gee), I am really enthused about the new technology (ie. Augmented Reality) being used for ad campaigns. This ads a layer of interactivity, a layer of life, missing from many promotional campaigns. The Footwall is a perfect example of using twitter users to participate by displaying their stats against the ‘footwall’.
